Bishop Florenza grew up in Southern Connecticut in the late fifties and early sixties. He left his position as a sales Director with a major winery in California to study for the priesthood. He attended George Mercer Theological College in Long, Island and General Theological Seminary in New York City. He was ordained Deacon in March 1985 and priested in October of the same year. He was consecrated Bishop in 2003 and is in the eigth year of his Episcopacy. He is the Episcopal Visitor of the Missionary Diocese of New England and Episcopal Visitor and Vicar General of the Missionary Diocese of The Resurrection in the Anglican Catholic Church, original Province. He is also the Rector of Cathedral Church of the Resurrection, in Ansonia, Ct.
Bp. Rocco is passionate about the historic Anglican Faith and for the well being of the community his church serves. He has a heart for the broken, for families and for youth and wants to see the churches under his care grow and reach out to meet the needs of the communities they serve.
He is married to his wife Linda of forty two years. They have one Daughter and two Grandchildren. An avid reader and sports enthusiast, in his down time the Bishop and his wife can be found Trail Riding on their Horses , Beau and Tucker, in Southbury, Ct.
